If a client is receiving unwanted calls or texts, specific numbers can be blocked by the user in the ITC Cloud portal. Even those whose scope is set to Basic User have this capability. Start by opening the user’s Answering Rules.
This can be found in the Users icon of the ITC Cloud portal if logged in as an administrator,
or the Answering Rules icon in the User Portal.
From here, there is an option to Allow/Block numbers.
Input all phone numbers that need to be blocked into the BLOCKED NUMBERS box, and hit the + to add them to the list.
This field only accepts 10-digit phone numbers, or 11-digitnumbers with a country code.
If the DID has SMS available, you can also disable notifications from specific numbers that have previously sent messages. Navigate to the Chat and SMS tab under the Messages icon.
Select the SMS message you wish to block and select the TurnOff Notifications option.
Phone numbers that have notifications disabled will now havea symbol next to them in the Chat and SMS tab
With these steps complete, the user will no longer receive calls from the numbers in question, and if any SMS messages do come through, they will not receive any notifications for them.
